How to Put Up a Carwash Business

Here are the things you need to consider:

Location. Choose a commercial area that can easily be accessed from the highway and is easily seen by passing traffic, or somewhere adjacent to non-competing automotive businesses like tire shops or car accessories stores.

The workplace itself must have sufficient water supply, proper drainage system, electrical outlets placed in points that avoid water from the workstation floor, and enough space to accommodate big cars with ease.

Costing. Factor in the company’s basic expenses such as rent, employee salaries, taxes, promotional expenses, supplies, and utilities, especially water. This is also why some water refilling station owners eventually decide to venture into the carwash or laundry business as an additional source of income.

Staffing and training. For every work service bays you have in your carwash, you need one employee. You will also need a general manager. Your staff must also be trained well on the proper and latest detailing and painting techniques.

Tools and equipment. You can’t just relay on bare hands and a bucket of water. You will need basic repair tools, and power tools such as air compressors, polishers, and pressure washers; and basic cleaning tools like water drums, sponges, microfiber towels, and tire blacks.
